Aden McCarthy, born on 4 December 2003, is a South African professional footballer who plays as a defender for Sabah FC in Azerbaijan. A product of the Kaizer Chiefs youth academy, Aden progressed through the club’s development structures before establishing himself in the senior team and earning an international move.

Standing at 1.86 metres, he is recognised for his composure, defensive awareness and versatility across the back line. Aden has also represented Bafana Bafana, captaining South Africa at the 2025 COSAFA Cup.
